Find who bills the subscription, cancel through that provider and check the confirmation for what happens next. Keep the account identifier, product and effective date privately. A refund request, account deletion and cancellation of future renewal are separate outcomes.

Locate the bill before changing the app

You want to stop a dating subscription but no longer use the phone on which you bought it. Start with the receipt, your storefront subscriptions and the provider's official help. The current device does not necessarily own the billing relationship.

For an Apple-billed purchase, use Apple's subscription controls. For a Google Play purchase, use the relevant Google account and its subscription page. If the dating service billed you directly, consult that merchant's current cancellation instructions. Do not assume the same path works for all three.

Read the result rather than just pressing the button

After cancelling, check whether the confirmation describes an expiry date, continued access for a paid period or another action you need to complete. Keep the useful record privately. A screenshot shared with a new date may reveal payment details and is not needed to prove your intentions.

If a renewal charge is disputed, gather the actual receipt, cancellation confirmation and timing before contacting the billing provider. This guide does not promise refund eligibility, a reversal or a particular processing time. Those questions need the relevant provider's current policy and your own transaction details.

Give future spending a clear boundary

When considering another subscription, use the ZAR amount on your actual offer rather than an old article's price. If it is billed in another currency, check the merchant's terms and your payment provider's treatment. A promotional headline may not be the total amount or the future renewal amount.

Decide what a paid feature would do for you before purchasing it. Buying visibility cannot settle whether another adult wants the same relationship. If you only want to rest from dating, spending more is not a requirement for making the next attempt worthwhile.

Use this in your own words

Your private cancellation record

  1. Billing owner

Apple, Google Play or the merchant; identify the actual account used.

  2. Product and amount

Copy the description and currency from the receipt, without sharing card or banking credentials.

  3. Cancellation evidence

Keep the confirmation and the date or status it gives.

  4. Separate question

If seeking a refund, use the relevant refund process; do not treat cancellation as approval of a refund.

  5. Account

Decide separately whether to retain, hide or delete the dating profile.

These are optional prompts, not a score or diagnosis. Adapt them to your situation. This tool does not submit or store answers.

Questions you might still have

Will uninstalling the app stop the next bill?

Do not rely on it. Google Play explicitly separates uninstalling from subscription cancellation; use the actual billing route.

Does cancellation erase my profile?

Not necessarily. The account and billing relationship are separate controls; read the provider's current instructions.

Can Afrolu cancel for me?

No. Do not send us payment access or login details. Use the official billing provider.
