Pause dating apps for exams
If swiping is taking study time, put the app away for exams. Tell anyone you are seeing when you will be free to talk again. A study break is about your time; it does not mean you have promised to date only one person. Check paid app subscriptions before uninstalling.

How can I protect exam time and still answer honestly?
Your exam is on Friday. A new message arrives each time you sit down to study. You can pause app use until the exam is over. You do not need to turn that time choice into a relationship promise.
Tell someone you have been seeing when you will reply, if you want to keep talking. Then set the phone aside. If you pay for the app, check the subscription where you bought it before uninstalling.

Choose a study block you can actually use, such as Tuesday from seven to nine. Put the phone where it will not interrupt every page. You can turn off alerts, take an app break or uninstall it. Choose the smallest step that gives you the quiet you want.
An exam week changes how quickly you answer. It does not tell anyone what you feel about them. If you have a date planned, say whether you can still meet. Avoid leaving a real plan hanging with no reply.
If someone hears 'I deleted the app' as a promise to date only them, correct the guess kindly. You can say the break is for your exam. A shared dating promise needs its own conversation later, when you both have time.

If Sunday changes, send a short update. A study break does not require a daily report.

Check what a pause actually changes
Muting notifications changes what interrupts your phone; it may not hide your profile or stop someone sending a message. If the app offers a profile pause, read what that option does before choosing it. Services use different words and settings.
